Setting the Height
Not all Barcode Types can have their height changed, since some barcodes
have built-in heights. If that's not allowed, OnMerge Barcodes won't let you
change the height.
There are 2 ways to change the height:
- Use the Barcode Height setting on the Barcode Setup tab of the OnMerge dialog
box. The Barcode Height setting controls the total height of the
barcode, including any text and margins that are part of the barcode. Be
sure to check the Hints
for Barcode Type area of the OnMerge dialog box to make sure you're
setting a height that will scan correctly.
- Alternately, you can click on an existing barcode to cause the small selection
rectangles on its edges to appear. Drag the selection rectangles to stretch/shrink
the barcode to the desired size, then click outside the barcode to finalize
the resizing operation.
Setting the Width
Not all Barcode Types can have their width changed, since some barcodes
have built-in widths. If that's not allowed, OnMerge Barcodes won't let you
change the width.
NB It's difficult
to precisely nail down the exact width of a barcode since OnMerge Barcodes
may automatically change it slightly depending on varying data (if the
barcode used data from a database), and depending on the resolution
of the printer where it's printed.
If the Fit Barcode to Width option is NOT set, set the width
by changing the Narrow Barwidth setting in the Barcode Setup tab of the OnMerge
dialog
box.
If the Fit Barcode to Width option is set, there are 2 ways to change the
width:
- Use the Barcode Width setting on the Barcode Setup tab of the OnMerge
dialog box. The Barcode Width setting controls the total width
of the barcode, including any text and margins that are part of the barcode.
Be sure to check the Hints
for Barcode Type area of the OnMerge dialog box to make sure you're
setting a width that will scan correctly.
- Alternately, you can click on an existing barcode to cause the small selection
rectangles on its edges to appear. Drag the selection rectangles to stretch/shrink
the barcode to the desired size, then click outside the barcode to finalize
the resizing operation.
